Membership
Since its inception in 1974, SIA has developed a wide range of services to support our members in every aspect of their lives.
With over 5,000 members across the UK and overseas, we have at our disposal a
diverse range of individuals with a SCI from which to gather experiences and
views that are invaluable to us in helping others. We are constantly welcoming
new members as we continue to expand our growing community.
Through our range of publications and services we can be sure that new
members will receive the advice and support they need from the moment injury
occurs and for the rest of their lives.
Our bi-monthly publication, FORWARD, contains numerous articles,
points of interest, members stories and updates on all SIA services and is a
must-have for all members.
SIA is a user-led organisation, therefore all Full members (those with SCI)
have the opportunity to stand for election onto the SIA’s board of trustees (Governing Council),
attending quarterly meetings and contributing to policy making decisions.
Full members are also entitled to vote at the SIA Annual General Meeting.
