Since its inception, SIA, as a user-led organisation, has striven to provide appropriate services for spinal cord injured people from the moment of injury and for the rest of their lives.
At the heart of our service provision is the belief that spinal cord injured people are themselves the ‘experts’. SIA’s services have come about as a result of the direct needs of members. We have an experienced staff team, many of whom are spinal cord injured themselves, who can offer the support, information and advice necessary to enable and encourage paralysed people to lead independent lives.
