Ageing with SCI

Ageing well with SCIThere is much information and support available for the newly spinal cord injured, but there is genuine concern amongst the ageing SCI population that they are forgotten. We are determined to redress this balance with the SIA’s Ageing Well Project.

The main aim of the Ageing Well Project is to identify the issues affecting people as they grow older with an SCI, especially now that individuals are living well into their 60’s and 70’s. It seeks to address these issues so that those ageing with a SCI and their partners/carers may benefit.

SIA Ageing Well Advisor, Joy SinclairOur Ageing Well Advisor, Joy Sinclair, trained as a Spinal Injuries Nurse at Stoke Mandeville. She is happy to help with specific enquiries on issues related to ageing with a SCI and will keep you up to date as the project develops.

Look for updates in E-clips, FORWARD and in this section of the website.
