BOOK NOW FOR THE NEXT PERSPECTIVES TRAINING COURSE!
The SIA Academy is delighted to announce the first in its series of training courses on spinal cord injury.
Perspectives is SIA’s unique training course for healthcare staff and others who work or come into contact with spinal cord injured people as part
of their jobs. The training, which is delivered by Jonathan Fogerty, who is himself spinal cord injured, covers both the cause
and the effects of spinal
cord injury as well as what it is like to live with such a disability every day.
The course also covers the rights and responsibilities of Social Work Departments and community healthcare staff under current legislation as it
applies to disabled people.
Holding the courses at the headquarters of
the Spinal Injuries Association, also gives us the opportunity to show you around this landmark building where you will see an example of best
practice in design incorporating both environmental sustainability and a barrier free workplace for disabled people.
