Peer Support Officer

John Robinson - T8 paraplegic due to car accident in October 1984. John has been a member of the Peer Support team at Sheffield since 2001. He has represented Great Britain many times all over the world in field athletics and held the UK record in the javelin for 10 years in the F54 class. When he’s not working on Peer Support, he plays and coaches wheelchair basketball for the Sheffield Steelers and is also currently involved in setting up a way of playing the drums for paralysed people with no leg movement in conjunction with Huddersfield University and Aspire.

Visitor Accommodation

Overnight accommodation is available (which includes TV, tea making facilities, and shared bathroom) at a cost of £10 per night. First 14 nights are free. Also free for the parents of under 16’s.
