Flora London Marathon 2009

Running the Flora London Marathon is a truly incredible experience and competition for places is tough.

Taking in many of the city’s finest landmarks and boasting an unrivalled atmosphere, the world-famous 26.2m course makes for a runner’s dream come true.

For the first time ever, public entry for the 2009 Flora London Marathon opens at 12pm on the afternoon of this year’s race and is solely through registration online through the London Marathon website

The entry system will only remain open until 120,000 applications have been received which is bound to generate even more competition for the 25,000 places to be allocated through the ballot in September.

SIA has a number of guaranteed entries in the 2009 event and, if you are able to meet our minimum fundraising pledge, we might be able to offer you one of our places.

However, we would urge you to enter through the online system first and, if you are fortunate enough to secure your own place, you’ll receive all of the benefits of TeamSIA membership but without a sponsorship commitment.

Our Running Events Team will provide you with help and support every step of the way with top training tips, fundraising guidance and regular newsletters. You will also receive a fantastic runners’ pack bursting with information on all aspects of your marathon experience and a collectable Sonic the Hedgehog running vest!

On the day, April 26th 2009, we’ll be on hand to support you all the way from our cheering points and to welcome you across the finish line with an invitation to our post-race reception, exclusive to TeamSIA runners and their friends and families.

If you are interested in joining TeamSIA for the 2009 Flora London Marathon, remember to apply online from 12pm April 13.
