SIA Message Board

Guidelines for SIA Message Board users

  1. SIA pre-moderates its message board and retains the right to not allow posts that contain any of the following:

    • Personal details. SIA will not publish any personal contact details such as telephone numbers (including mobile numbers) and addresses. Though email addresses will be allowed to be posted this is to be done at the users own risk and may make them at risk of being picked up by a “Spam Spider”
    • Offensive or inflammatory content. Posts that are discourteous, incivil and unconstructive will not be posted. Insulting or inflammatory language; argument and debate for their own sake; and personal attacks on other posters ("flaming") are all prohibited. Constructive criticism and polite responses to same, are acceptable.
    • Profanity. SIA takes a zero tolerance view on profanity and posts containing profanity will not be posted or will be deleted
    • Commercial posts. Though there is a designated area for private sales SIA does not allow commercial posts on the message board. If you would like to advertise with SIA then details of purchasing space on our site are available here.
    • Illegal activities. SIA will not knowingly post messages that incite or advocate illegal activities.

    Any posts that do not follow these rules will not be posted to the message board and the Moderators’ decision to not submit a post to the board is final.
     
  2. The thoughts and views expressed on this message board do not necessarily reflect those of SIA
     
  3. Posts in some sections of the message board may not be appropriate for younger members and parental guidance is advised. Therefore parents/guardians are advised to guide under 18’s towards the Young Peoples section of the message board.
     
  4. Though medical topics are often discussed on the message board SIA would strongly advise those seeking guidance on medical matters or alternative therapies to seek advice from a qualified practitioner or doctor. Please do not stop taking your medication or make changes to your medical regime without first consulting your doctor.
