Peer Support Development Day
SIA's Peer Support team will be getting together at their next national Development Day, which takes place on Wednesday 16th April at the
Birmingham Metropole Hotel. Joined by Peer Support volunteers and members of SCI Centre staff, the team will be given an update from SIA's Project
Researcher (Dr Fiona Barr) about her work on the Upgrading and Preserving of SCI Centres project and will also hear about the work of SIA's
Continuing Healthcare Funding Working Group. They will also receive an update on current and future service developments within the organisation
from staff based at SIA House, and will have opportunities to give their input through a number of discussion sessions. Most importantly, they
will have the chance to meet with their colleagues from all over the country and hear about Peer Support activities within each of the different
Centres. A full report on the day's event will appear in the June issue of FORWARD.
