Working with the South of England Spinal Cord Injury Board, the AIAU (Audit, Information & Analysis Unit) has recently completed an audit looking at ventilator dependent spinal cord injured patients in the South of England. The audit has been successful in meeting its aims and has collected important data on this small but highly complex group of patients.   Their report, which you can view here, involved an SIA Representative on its Board so ‘patient’ involvement was available throughout the process.
