Spinal Injuries Association to benefit from commissioning mentoring scheme

The Spinal Injuries Association is pleased to announce that we have been chosen as part of a coalition of Spinal Cord Injuries charities to benefit from a mentoring scheme from Neurological Commissioning Support. (NCS)

NCS is a non-profit organisation which provides support to commissioners closely informed by the views of service users. The organisation works closely with its partner charities, MND Association, MS Society, Parkinson’s UK and Epilepsy Society.

The programme is a two year programme funded by The Department of Health’s, Innovation, Excellence and Strategic Development Fund aimed at getting the voluntary sector more involved in commissioning.

The scheme will involve the development of a project put together by the coalition of Spinal Cord Injury charities including SIA, Aspire and BackUp.
