The focus of this issue is Holidays and Travel with information about travelling by train, camping in France and two centres in the permanent sunshine of Spain and Tenerife. One SIA member writes about a volunteering holiday she went on to the Soloman Islands and we have features on accessible holidays at home in the UK.

The use of FES is expanding all the time and in this issue we hear how it has helped two people: one man with flaccid paralysis who has improved the tone and appearance of his legs and a woman Paralympic skier who believes the use of FES enhances her performance.

Stoke Mandeville is in the spotlight with the acknowledgement of a recent award for their standards of rehabilitation and an invitation for all ‘old’ NSCI Centre patients to attend the unveiling of a bronze statue to recognise the achievements of Sir Ludwig Guttmann.

The SIA Academy launches its new programme of courses and on the SIA website there is now a Health Professionals Portal.
