A big thank you to everyone who invited their MP to join the All Party Parliamentary Group on Spinal Cord Injury (APPG) following our request in October's forward. We have had a good response from Parliamentarians but would still like more to make the group's voice as strong as possible in Westminster. Why not e-mail your MP and ask if they will attend the next meeting of the APPG on January the 25th? You can use the template below or write something more personal instead.
You can find the e-mail address for your MP here.
Dear (insert name of MP here)
As a member of the Spinal Injuries Association (SIA) I would like to invite you to join the All Party Parliamentary Group on Spinal Cord Injury (APPG). In the face of unprecedented cuts to welfare benefits and substantial overhaul of the National Health Service it is more important than ever that your Spinal Cord Injured constituents such as myself can have their voice heard in Parliament.
I would be very grateful if you could attend the next meeting of the APPG at 2.30pm on Tuesday the 25th of January 2011 which will be discussing the current threat to the National Spinal Injuries Centre Service and the progress being taken to preserve this service and make it fit for the 21st Century.
Please contact the Secretary of the APPG at c.stribling@spinal.co.uk for more details of the meeting and to confirm your attendance. Thank you for your support.
Yours sincerely,
