We are delighted to announce that the Big Lottery Fund has awarded a grant of £347,912 to SIA! This will fund the continuation of our Community Peer Support service over the next three years and enable us to expand the service to other parts of the country.
This funding means spinal cord injured people being treated in District General Hospitals and rehabilitation centres across the country will have access to this dedicated service. Information on employment opportunities within the Community Peer Support team and updates on the development of the project will be posted on the website and in forward magazine soon.
SIA is grateful to all the existing funders of the Community Peer Support service. Without this support we would not have been able to demonstrate the impact this service has on the lives of spinal cord injured people and the need for this support to be available across the country. Thank you to the Armstrong Foundation, Big Lottery Fund Wales, City Bridge Trust, James Tudor Foundation and Pannone LLP.
