A recent article in The Telegraph highlighted research suggesting that Viagra could, in some cases, cause hearing loss.  The research on which this article was based was published in The Laryngoscope and urged health professionals to make more people aware of the potential risks.  However, according to The Telegraph  "the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency, Britain’s drugs watchdog, said complaints of hearing loss linked to Viagra were "extremely rare".

View the article on The Telegraph website or read an analysis of the research in the Behind the Headlines section of the NHS Choices website.

If you are at all concerned about taking Viagra please consult your GP or other appropriate health professional for further advice.
