Using the New Website

Are you wondering about the login section on the home page?? What happens if I sign up? Do I need to sign up?

Here are a few answers...

You can use the website as you would normally. Just dive in and explore. Registering as a website user ('signing up') will allow you to make shop purchases. But for SIA members, signing up means a whole lot more.

For SIA Members

If you are an SIA Member (which means you have paid an annual subscription, receive forward magazine and have a membership number), signing up to the new website will allow you to access all of the guides and factsheets as free downloads in your profile area (you don't need to go to the shop to access them). You will also be able to view forward magazine current and back issues here as well. If you do make purchases from the SIA Shop, as a member you will receive a 10% discount off publications.

The other major benefit is that you can now manage your membership online... Update your details, renew your membership all through your profile area on the website.

To sign up to the website as an SIA member, you will need your membership number, postcode and surname and email address. If there are any difficulties signing up, possible reasons may be that your current details are different from the ones that SIA hold or that you have entered an incorrect membership number. A quick call or email to the SIA office will resolve all of these difficulties. Once the website recognises you as a member, you can enjoy all the benefits this will bring.

General website Users

We hope everyone enjoys using the new website. If you are a general website user (not an SIA member), you will only want to register or sign up if you are going to make an online shop purchase from SIA. This will create a profile for you that you can use whenever you make purchases in the future.

Message Board Users

The SIA Message Board remains unchanged. Please be aware that the login to the message board is not your website login.
