Lady Howard de Walden has been a significant supporter of SIA for several years, particularly in the area of fundraising where she has worked tirelessly to gain support for the organisation. She has been an influential advocate for most of SIA's 35 years and, through her efforts, has afforded SIA the opportunity to make numerous connections that have led to the creation of many of its most successful income streams.
Stephen Bradshaw is a founder member of SIA, prior to which he was part of the Steering Group that helped form the Association. He was an early Director of SIA, and was for many years the driving force behind several of the organisation's successes and its development. His knowledge of the issues facing SCI people is second to none, making him widely respected not only amongst his peers, but also amongst the UK's leading clinicians in the field of spinal cord injury and the wider disability world. Although recently retired, Stephen continues to provide active and valuable support to many of SIA's activities, particularly in the political and medical field.
Chris Serle is better known as a TV presenter, film maker and broadcaster. He has been an active supporter of SIA for many years, especially in the area of fundraising where he has given much time to participating in various events acting as a compere and auctioneer. Over the years he has helped produce, narrate and has appeared in, several videos and short films about SIA and its services. He has also made several radio and TV appeals on our behalf.
