Not all SCI individuals are wheelchair users. A few people are able to get around, some, if not all of the time, without assistance.

SIA would like to congratulate Major Phil Packer on his successful completion of the London Marathon

Major Packer, 36, was injured whilst serving in Basra in February 08, after which he was treated at The Royal National Orthopedic Hospital, Stanmore. He decided to walk the 2009 Flora London Marathon to raise £1 million for Help For Heroes. He finished the course on Saturday 9th May.
