I live locally in Milton Keynes and I am very keen to help the charity as my mother worked as a nurse on the spinal unit at Stoke Mandeville hospital for roughly 10 years. During this time I visited the hospital on a number of occasions to meet and talk to a few of the patients. I found this very rewarding as I understand this can be a particularly lonely time for those who sustain a spinal cord injury.

I am a Chartered Accountant, with 8 years’ post qualification experience, currently working as the Manager of the Statutory Reporting department of Deloitte LLP.  As well as preparing the statutory accounts for the Deloitte LLP group and all subsidiaries, the Statutory Reporting department is responsible for group Treasury i.e. monitoring group funds on a daily basis to ensure that sufficient resources are available for the business to meet its’ commitments and enter into any new business opportunities.  I qualified at KPMG whilst working in their audit service line and I have a First-class honours degree in Psychology from Nottingham University. Outside of work my interests include regular volunteering at the local RSPCA centre and travel.
