Boasting an amazing atmosphere and attracting huge support each year, the Great North Run is now regarded as one of the world's finest races. THE most iconic half-marathon on the planet; Live on BBC television and BBC Radio 5 Live.

As well as helping SIA to provide vital assistance and services to more than 40,000 people living with spinal cord injury, you will have the satisfaction of completing one of the world's most famous races and of soaking up the event's incredible atmosphere and support.

Medical History and Fitness Confirmation	A challenge of this nature is a strenuous activity and the decision to swim should not be taken lightly. If you are not a regular runner you should seek professional advice about your fitness and training requirements If you are over 60 years or if you have any medical conditions that could be adversely affected by exercise, particularly a heart condition, or if you are in doubt about your health, you must obtain a medical certificate from your doctor. Please confirmthat to the best of your knowledge your general state of health and firness is good and you take full responsibility for yourself

I will agree to pay the appropriate registration fee for the charity place for the race I wish to take part in. I commit to raise the minimum sponsorship for the charity place for the race I wish to take part in. I will ensure that the minimum sponsorship is received by SIA no later than 4 weeks after the event. If I have secured my own place then I commit to raisiing as much as I can. You will be entitled to a full fundraising pack and Running Vest. I will be over the age of 18 on the day of the event. I understand that all runners take part at their own risk, and I agree to the terms and conditions stipulated by the race organiser (a full set can be sent on request) All funds raised for SIA through the event must be payable to SIA.
