Collection Box Distributor and Co-ordinator

The opportunity

Can you help raise money for SIA in your area by distributing Collection boxes in your local community? They are looking for active volunteers in different areas to assist with the placement of collection boxes and then maintain and manage them. Through liaison with the Community Fundraiser you will be responsible for keeping track of where and when the collection boxes were distributed then collecting them when they need emptying. You will need to have a few hours a week spare and be trustworthy and organised. Support and literature will be given so you will be able to thank supporters yourself.

Collection boxes are an essential part of fundraising and raising awareness of the work of SIA. Last year SIA started placing collection boxes, you can help us widen the distribution area and raise significant money for SIA! Other qualities and skills needed for this role include: Excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly approach; An enthusiasm for the work and an understanding of SIA; Ability to work proactively and independently and it would be helpful to have an understanding, knowledge and connections within your local community. Any training required will be available, including information on the charity and a visit to the nearest Spinal Cord Injury Centre can be arranged.

Spinal Injuries Association provides support and information to spinal cord injured people and their families from the moment of injury and for the rest of their lives. The services SIA provides enable SCI people to lead full and independent lives
