The opportunity
This is an opportunity to be an official charity volunteer at the SHP IOSH Awards Dinner at Hilton Park Lane in London on Wednesday 20th October 2010.
SIA is proud to have been nominated as the chosen charity for the Awards and the money raised will help SIA support people with spinal cord injury by providing information and support services to enable them to lead full and independent lives.
Up to 20 well presented, friendly and outgoing individuals (no experience necessary) are needed to represent the charity at this event. You will be managed by a volunteer coordinator who will run through the role and provide relevant materials. Volunteers will be required to help in collecting and counting the raffle ticket envelopes off the tables.

The opportunity
This is an opportunity to be an official charity volunteer at the Newbury Race Day at Doncaster Race Course on Friday 22 October 2010.
This excellent day out at the races is fundamental in the SIA fundraising calendar and the money raised will help SIA support people with spinal cord injury by providing information and support services to enable them to lead full and independent lives.
Up to 20 well presented, friendly and outgoing individuals (no experience necessary) are needed to represent the charity at this event. You will be managed by a volunteer coordinator who will run through the role and provide relevant materials. Volunteers will be required to help in raffle ticket selling, auction spotting and the bucket collection at the end of the day. Each volunteer will be provided with lunch. You will gain free entry to the racecourse and their will be an opportunity to watch some of the races.

This is an opportunity to be an official charity volunteer at the Community Car Raffle at the Centre MK on Sunday 21 November 2010.
These excellent events are fundamental in the SIA fundraising calendar and the money raised will help SIA support people with spinal cord injury by providing information and support services to enable them to lead full and independent lives.
Up to 10 well presented, friendly and outgoing individuals (no experience necessary) are needed to represent the charity at this event. You will be managed by a volunteer coordinator who will run through the role and provide relevant materials. Volunteers will be required to sell raffle tickets to win the car supplied by the MK Community Foundation. SIA will benefit from 50% marshall and generally help out at the event. Each volunteer will be provided with suitable refreshments depending on the length of time you wish to volunteer for. You will gain free entry to both events and their will be an opportunity to watch some of the Tirbute Night.
