Many of you will probably have heard about the online auction website, eBay which started back in 1995 in the USA. Since then it has grown to be the biggest internet marketplace, allowing people to auction goods that they no longer have to use. It could be thought of as a futuristic car boot sale for millions of people, world wide, to sell and buy through! Have a quick browse through eBay's website www.ebay.co.uk and you will see that everything and anything is for sale on eBay!
Anyone now placing an item on the site is asked whether they would like to donate a percentage of, or the entire winning bid amount, to a registered charity of their choice.
We really hope you join us in this venture. Recycling unwanted items in this way is great for the environment and will raise much needed funds for SIA.
