The opportunity
SIA need volunteers to assist with the smooth running of the Fundraising Department at SIA House in Milton Keynes.
Tasks will include phone calls, research, preparing mailings, photocopying, data entry, event volunteer co-ordination, contacting companies to ask for raffle and auction prizes and generally being on hand to support the fundraising team in their diverse range of activities.
Whilst the tasks in hand may be basic administration, they are absolutely vital to the success of SIA fundraising and your support would be invaluable.
They would be delighted to hear from dedicated people, who are able to make a reasonably regular commitment to go into SIA house, and give anything from two hours to two days a week.
The role would suit anyone who would like to support the SIA in this way, although basic computer literacy and interpersonal skills are necessary. SIA House is fully accessible and currently 50% of our staff are wheelchair users. There is never a dull moment in fundraising, and the friendly team at SIA will make you very welcome and ensure your time at SIA House is both enjoyable and rewarding.
Reasonable travel costs are paid to all volunteers and as well as administration support, there are also opportunities to support us by volunteering at our fundraising events.
Skills/Qualifications
Basic computer literacy with experience of Exel, Word and Outlook and interpersonal skills rare essential.
