India Motorcycle Challenge

Come and experience the culture and beauty of Indina by motorbike!

Motorcycling over 1,300km through north eastern India is no easy ride - this motorcycle charity challenge will certainly test your skills and ability as we turn and twist through the foothills of the world's largest mountain range - the breathtaking Himalaya.

This is one of the charity events that has it all and encompasses most of the 'must see' attractions. India has an incredible variety of landscapes to travel through - from the bustling sights and sounds of Delhi, to the laid back attitude of Dharamsala, home of the Dalai Lama, we're sure that this motorcycle charity challenge will be one you will remember and treasure forever. In addition, this most magnificent of fundraising events also takes in the Golden Temple of Amritsar and the very entertaining border ceremony of Wagah - the closing of the border to Pakistan, considered a local stage show not to be missed!

Our ride takes us across varied terrain, even off-road, and it is strongly recommended that riders are confident in their ability. It may take a short while to adjust to an Enfield for those used to riding more modern machinery - they have drum brakes, gears on the right foot, rear brake on the left and need kick-starting - we will certainly be tested, but we can assure that the rewards of this charity challenge are worth it!

Your Itinerary...

Day 1 - We depart the UK on our flight to Delhi.

Day 2 - We arrive in Delhi and meet local guides. Catch the Shatabdi Express to Amritsar for overnight.

Day 3 - Morning visit to Amritsar's Golden Temple. In the afternoon, we test out the bikes and get acquainted! In the evening, we go to see the famous border ceremony at Wagah.

Day 4 - Ride to Dharamsala - home of the Dalai Lama. Distance - 200km

Day 5 - Ride to Bir - the best paragliding site in the World! Distance - 80km

Day 6 - Ride from Bir to Manali. Distance - 200km

Day 7 - Ride to Chail over the Jalori Pas at 10,000ft! Toughest day of our challenge! Distance - 275km

Day 8 - Long day in the seat! Ride to River Ganges - 340km

Day 9 - Ride from the River Ganges to Delhi. Distance - 250km. This evening we party at our celebratory dinner.

Day 10 - Transfer to Delhi airport for flight back to the UK.
