SIA operates two Link Schemes one of which is for members only and the other is open to relatives and friends of SCI people.
This scheme provides the opportunity to share experiences with, or get support from, other SIA members across a wide variety of topics. To register with the scheme or to find out more information you will need to be logged into the website as a member of SIA. If you are an SIA member and haven't already registered with the website, then please do so today from the Home page. You will need your SIA membership number for this, which you can get from the SIA office (Tel:0845 678 6633 or email) if you don't have it to hand.
Once you are logged in as a member, access to the Link Scheme will be from the menu area to the left of your Profile page. Just clink on SIA Link Scheme and you will be able to register for, or search for help from, the Link Scheme by following the instructions provided.
Relatives Link Scheme is to help relatives of SCI people contact each other to provide support across a range of topics related to living with or supporting an SCI person in the family. Do you have a relative who is spinal cord injured? Are you looking for support yourself? Or are you someone who has dealt with the challenges and the impact of spinal cord injury on the family and would like to support another family?
You do not need to be a member to join this scheme but you will need to be logged into the website. If you are already logged on you will see a link to the scheme in the menu on the left-hand side of this page. If you are not already registered with the website, just click on sign up on the right hand side of the Home Page and fill in the details requested. Once you are logged in you will be able to access the Scheme by clicking on the Get Support tab at the top of the page . The Relatives Link Scheme will then be listed in the left hand menu of the Get Support page. Clicking on this will take you to the instructions on how to register and/or get support from the Scheme.
