SIA operates two Link Schemes one of which is for SCI people only, with the other being open to their relatives and friends.
This scheme provides the opportunity to share experiences with, or get support from, other SCI people across a wide variety of topics. To register with the scheme, or to find out more information, you will need to be logged into the website. If you haven't already registered you can do so by clicking on 'Register for free membership' from the Home page. If you are already a member, don't worry, you won't be signed up twice as we will be able to identify your details by cross referencing these with our membership database.
Once you are logged you can access the Link Scheme will be from the menu area to the left of your Profile page. Just clink on SIA Link Scheme and you will be able to register for, or search for help from, the Link Scheme by following the instructions provided.
Relatives Link Scheme is to help relatives of SCI people contact each other to provide support across a range of topics related to living with or supporting an SCI person in the family. Do you have a relative who is spinal cord injured? Are you looking for support yourself? Or are you someone who has dealt with the challenges and the impact of spinal cord injury on the family and would like to support another family?
You will need to be logged into the website in order to to see the relevant menu options on the left-hand side of this page, so if you are not already registered with the site just click on the 'Register for free membership' option on the Home Page and fill in the details requested. Once you are logged in you will be able to access the Scheme by clicking on the 'Living with SCI' tab at the top of the page and selecting the 'SIA Links Schemes' option to take you back to this page. The 'Relatives Link Scheme' will be listed in the left hand menu and clicking on this will take you to the instructions on how to register and/or get support from the Scheme.
