 Get Supported by your Peers

 

We have a range of Peer Services to help when you are going through rehabilitation in the Spinal Centre and also when you make the transition home. If you aren't being treated in a Spinal Cord Injury Centre but in a District General Hospital or other non-specialist environment then contact our Community Peer Support Service.

Online Community

 

The SIA Message Board and Chatroom are the hub of our online community and are great places to share experiences, ask questions and feel supported.  The Message Board is available 24/7 and the Chat Room has two hosted sessions on Wednesday and Sunday and regular Chat Room Plus+ sessions on specific topics of interest.Fact Sheets

The Advice Line Team produces a selection of informative factsheets on a wide range of topics. You can obtain these from the SIA shop

  SIA also produce a wide range of publications which are available to buy from the SIA Shop.  They cover a wide range of topics with some also available in a CD-ROM format.

 

 SIA National Library on SCI

Our library is based at SIA House and is the only specialist SCI library in Britain. The catalogue can be searched online and contains not only a wide selection of books on SCI related topics but also journals, newspaper articles and useful websites.
