• Fluid intake
Fluid requirements increase when you are cycling so make sure you drink small quantities of water or sports energy drinks at frequent intervals when you are cycling.
• Food intake
Eating small meals or snacks at frequent intervals when you are cycling will help to maintain your energy levels.
• Bike helmets
Make sure your head is protected if cycling outside and always wear a cycle helmet.
• High visibility clothing
Wear some high visibility clothing if cycling outside so that you can be seen clearly by pedestrians or other road vehicles.
