Visiting the Library

When?

The Library is open 10am – 4pm Monday to Friday. You are most welcome to drop in to SIA house to visit the library during these times.

Who?

Anyone is welcome to use the SIA Library but it will be particularly useful to spinal cord injured people, their family, health, social care and legal professionals, and anyone with an interest in finding out more about SCI.

How?

Anyone may drop in to SIA House to visit and use the Library but as this is a reference collection, publications are not loaned out. However, SIA publications are available to purchase at SIA House or in the SIA Shop.  You can browse the Library collection by using the online catalogue search.  If you wish to use one of the private study rooms, please contact the Library Assistant to make a booking.

Library Facilities:

  • Computer stations
  • Reading and studying areas
  • Photocopier (incurs a small charge per sheet)
  • Private study rooms which can be pre-booked
  • 'Dragon' natural speaking software
  • Access to the Internet
  • Fully accessible to SCI people
