Williams Dinner Success

Guests at SIA’s annual fundraising dinner at Williams Racing had an unexpected opportunity to meet one of Formula One’s greatest legends – Sir Frank Williams himself. The team principal dropped by to say hello to the dinner’s guests and reminisce about a life time in Formula One. Sir Frank was himself injured in a road traffic accident in 1986, and led his team to nine constructors’ champions and seven driver titles.

Diners also enjoyed a tour of Sir Frank’s personal collection of Formula One race cars and met key members of the team including Paddy Lowe (Chief Technical Officer) and Rob Smedley (Head of Performance Engineering), and heard the driver’s perspective from Robert Kubica (Reserve & Development Driver).

The evening was a great success and raised over £7,000 for SIA.
