All Party Parliamentary Group on Spinal Cord Injury

The cross-party All Party Parliamentary Group on Spinal Cord Injury (APPG on SCI) is made up of MPs and Peers from across the political spectrum, and works to address specific issues being faced by spinal cord injured people, particularly relating to medical treatment, care and support.

SIA holds the secretariat to the APPG and works closely with the Chair and members to keep the needs of spinal cord injured people high on the agenda in Parliament.

The next meeting on the APPG is a virtual meeting and is being held on Wednesday 18 November 2020 at 3.30pm. The meeting will include an overview from SIA of the range of issues impacting on SCI people and the services they rely on, which is particularly important as we negotiate the Coronavirus pandemic. There will also be a briefing about pressure ulcers and the devastating impact they have on SCI people and their families, as well as the enormous cost to the NHS of treatment and care.
