All Party Parliamentary Group on Spinal Cord Injury
We keep the needs of spinal cord injured people high on the agenda in Parliament, by administering and working closely with the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Spinal Cord Injury.
The Group is made up MPs and Peers from a wide range of political parties, and works to address specific issues being faced by spinal cord injured people, particularly relating to medical treatment, care and support.
Recently, the Group has been looking at how and why delayed admissions to Spinal Cord Injuries Centres occur, and what can be done to reduce them. An inquiry into this, led by the Spinal Injuries Association suggested community based services could be the cause and recommend an urgent review into their operations.
