    Can anyone suggest a moisturiser that you can use,while using catheters ,as again it’s an age thing,that I get very dry,but do not want to have problems with infections either.i would perfer something natural,I,ve tried k y jelly,sylk you have to get on prescription,so means you have to keep going to the doctors,and it’s in such a small container,does,nt last long.anyone got a better solution please.thanks in advance.

    Coconut oil might be worth a try.  It’s solid at room temperature, but melts at body temperature, so is very easy to use. It’s often used as a natural alternative to KY Jelly.

     

    You can buy it on Amazon, or from Holland and Barrett, but you can also buy it much more cheaply from firms who supply home soap and lotion makers, although they won’t supply it in jars, so you would need to melt it gently and put it into a jar yourself – this is my favourite company, but there are plently of them.
