Giving in memory of a loved one is a truly special act. Not only does it act as a fitting tribute by helping a charity that was perhaps close to their heart, it helps us carry on our work.
A lasting tribute
A lasting tribute is a positive way to celebrate the life of a loved one and support Spinal Injuries Association at the same time.
Quite simply it is a remembrance page for you and all your family and friends to share memories of a loved one through messages, photos and stories. Reading the messages can be a source of great comfort, and it can be inspiring to know that all of the money raised in your loved one’s name will support spinal cord injured people and their families to live fulfilling lives.
It is very easy to create your personalised remembrance page. Once you have set it up, you can invite your family and friends to light a virtual candle, share their memories and photos and make a donation.
We have partnered with the ‘Much Loved’ website so that you can make a lasting memory of your loved one. Much Loved is a registered charity that helps people create a memorial website.
Donations in lieu of funeral flowers
When you request family and friends to make a donation in lieu of flowers to SIA at your loved one’s funeral service, you can take comfort knowing that these gifts will make a positive contribution to our work. You can collect the donations and send a cheque to us (payable to ‘Spinal Injuries Association’), ask your funeral director who will forward it to us, or the donations can be made directly to us.
Donations can be made by credit or debit card. If you’d like to speak to somebody about making a donation from a funeral please call our supporter care team on 01908 20 8541 or email [email protected]
