We are delighted to be holding another ‘Managing Spinal Cord Injury- the needs of the child and young person’ Study Day in association with staff from St Francis, the paediatric ward at the National Spinal Injuries Centre (NSIC).

This event is an excellent opportunity to hear about this specialist area from a team of experts. The day will involve presentations from clinicians, therapists and a psychologist from the NSIC, and will look at areas such as growth and development, community re-integration (education and employment) and the psychological aspects of rehabilitation and transitions.

As well as the presentations, there will be ample opportunity for you to discuss any specific queries you may have on this subject with the speakers, both during the breaks and at the panel discussion at the end of the day.

Places are limited so please ensure you book soon to avoid disappointment!  Book online now!

Download a draft agenda here.

The cost to attend is £50 +vat for NHS health professionals and students and £100 +vat for non-NHS staff.

Caring with Confidence has been developed with our Nurse Advocate colleagues in response to demand for a Study Day aimed at healthcare assistants, carers and PAs- anyone involved in the personal care of people with spinal cord injury. Caring with Confidence– was launched in Milton Keynes in February and was very well received, so we are delighted to be able to repeat it in Manchester on 5 October 2017. The day will look at issues such as bladder and bowel management, care of the skin and nutrition.

The cost to attend this day is £50 +vat for NHS professionals or people caring for SIA members and £75 +vat for non-NHS professionals or people caring for non-SIA members.

The draft agenda will be available shortly, but if you have any queries please let us know. You can download the flyer for this event here.

Our cancellation policy applies to all SIA training events and can be read here.
