Finding a solicitor

You should always seek legal advice from a specialist solicitor if you feel that another person was at least partly at fault for your spinal cord injury. At SIA we want to help you with this process by ensuring that you are able to access the best possible legal advice for your case.

Solicitor and case managersSIA’s guide to choosing a solicitor has now been amalgamated with our Directory of Case Managers.  All firms and companies in the directory have a proven track record for dealing with SCI people, have met SIA criteria and have agreed to abide by our Codes of Conduct.

Each of the solicitors firms listed will:

  • Have demonstrated that they specialise in personal injury claims and/or clinical negligence claims involving spinal cord injury.
  • Provide a free initial interview whether at their office, your home or in hospital. Where a firm does not have accessible premises they will see you in your home or another suitable place. This initial interview should allow enough time to explore whether or not you have a case for compensation.

Visit our online Shop to obtain a free copy of the Directory.  The listing of solicitors is also available as an app to download from the App Store or Google Play.

All the solicitors in the SIA Directory have agreed to abide by a code of conduct as a condition of their entry to the Directory.  This code is included in the Directory and can also be downloaded from the SIA Documents page in the Resources area .

If the solicitor you choose from our Directory does not  follow our code of conduct, please use our complaints procedure.  Download here or visit the SIA Documents page in our Resources area.

If you are a solicitor and wish to be considered for inclusion in future editions or, if you are currently included and require a change in your details, then please email Lynne Punchard.
