Nurse Advocate Service and Healthcare Professionals
If you’re a healthcare professional working in a district general hospital, rehabilitation centre or care home, our Nurse Advocate Service can support you in the care of anyone with a spinal cord injury.
If you are currently involved in the care of someone with a spinal cord injury and you feel SIA’s Nurse Advocate service could help, please fill in our referral form or call 0800 980 0501.
We are also committed to improving knowledge around spinal cord injury care within non-specialist healthcare settings, with our nurses available to deliver education and training on key aspects of patient care.
Our education module are designed to provide an overview of all aspects of care, and are available at a time and place to suit your needs. For more information, or to book a session, please email or call 0800 980 0501.
New for 2017, SIA’s Nurse Advocate service is proud to launch the skills and competency training module, ‘Managing the neurogenic bowel’. If you’re interested in learning more about neurogenic bowel dysfunction, and how to manage it, we have courses running throughout 2017.
This specialist education compliments SIA’s range of study days held throughout the country. For more information about all our training please visit our training and education section.
