Healthcare Professional Study Days

Our CPD-accredited Healthcare Professional Study Day programme is aimed at HCPs who work or have an interest in the field of spinal cord injury. Along with our SCI Nurse Specialists, we often invite speakers from Spinal Cord Injury Centres or other clinical settings who are experts in their field, so these days are a fantastic opportunity for non-specialist staff.

All events run 9am to 4pm (approx.) and lunch and refreshments are included.

We will hold two Study Days in 2019/20- details of the first are below, and the second will be added as soon as it is confirmed.

Continence Matters: Introduction to managing the neurogenic bowel in spinal cord injury
Tuesday 8 October 2019; AJ Bell Stadium, 1 Stadium Way, Salford M30 7EY

This Study Day, which is aimed at healthcare professionals interested in or working with individuals with neurogenic bowel dysfunction as a result of SCI, is a new event which will not only increase delegates’ understanding of the impact of SCI on bowel function, but, also, through clinical presentations and product engagement, will raise awareness of different management methods. The day will have a strong interactive element, where delegates will have the opportunity to view transanal irrigation systems product demos facilitated by four invited exhibitors, which, with the knowledge gained through the presentations, will enable them to improve bowel care provision for individuals with SCI. You can view the draft agenda here.

The cost to attend our Study Days is £50 +vat for NHS health professionals and students and £100 +vat for non-NHS staff. Payment by credit card at time of booking is preferred- you will be directed to our shop on completion of the booking form.
