A Fantastic New Partnership with the Perfect Teammates!
Spinal Injuries Association are delighted to announce our newest ongoing charitable partnership, with London based firm, Vanquish Technologies.
Vanquish Tech have already done a huge amount to support SIA this year, and have today committed to further supporting us with an ongoing partnership throughout 2020, and beyond.
Any readers of FORWARD magazine will have seen an article this summer with Vanquish Tech’s CEO, Simeon Taylor, talking about his passion to support us through a family connection – his mother sustained a spinal cord injury (SCI) through a spinal abscess when she was just 14. Simeon recently spoke to us further in support of our partnership launch:
“I am really excited that Vanquish Tech can support such an important charity, and one that is really close to my heart. My team and I are looking forward to supporting SIA across the board.
Our mission and commitment to SIA is to help raise vital funds that will contribute towards the amazing work the entire team provides to their SCI members. However, as a technology company we also hope we can support SIA’s members by introducing and enabling new and existing technologies to SCI people that will impact their day to day life, to make it that much easier, even if only a little. We will do everything we can to help this amazing charity!”
Throughout 2019, Vanquish Tech’s staff have already raised almost £3,000 through a five a side football tournament, and dinner. They also helped raise awareness of SCI and the work of SIA through inviting us to their FIFA 20 launch party, and to be their guests at the West Ham FC ‘player of the season awards’. On top of that, through their official partnership with the West Ham Men’s and Women’s Football teams, they have generously provided free tickets for our members to matches, and arranged a sponsorship deal so that SIA’s logo and messaging will be seen at every West Ham Women’s home game!
Recently Vanquish Tech hosted our members at West Ham Women’s record-breaking match with Tottenham Ladies, with our logo seen by over 26,000 fans – which was a truly remarkable way to help spread our message, and one we are truly grateful for!
We will be formally launching our partnership at our upcoming Legal Dinner where Vanquish Tech have provided plenty of amazing prizes to help our fundraising efforts. Ahead of them joining us there, our CEO Nik Hartley said the following about our partnership with Vanquish Tech:
“Everyone at SIA feels very proud and privileged that our relationship with Vanquish Tech is not just a charity of the year scheme – but a long term partnership – which will help us to achieve amazing things together. We look forward to working with Vanquish Tech long into the future, and we are so thankful that we can call them partners and teammates! Knowing that spinal cord injury is something that their staff hold close to their hearts is invaluable to us, and everything they have done so far to support SIA has shown how far they are willing to go to make sure that together we can try to help everyone affected by spinal cord injury.”
We already have plenty of exciting plans with our newest partners for 2020, including a three peaks challenge, some awareness raising with the West Ham men and women’s teams, alongside an accessibility project for disabled fans and plenty more! Everyone at SIA is absolutely thrilled to be working with such an amazing company and we have been taken aback by how much support, hard work and effort everyone at Vanquish Tech has put in so far. They really are going to help us make a vital difference.
Vanquish Tech are absolutely committed to supporting SCI people, and the whole SCI community as much as possible, and we are so, so excited to be partnering with them. Thank you for all your support, and for being such perfect teammates!
