Issues with NHS Continuing Healthcare

We’ve become aware that some SCI people in receipt of NHS Continuing Healthcare are being asked by their Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) if family members would be able to step in and provide care support if their care package failed

This failure would usually be due to a lack of available carers.

This is a very concerning development that we’re keen to understand more about so we can be clear how many CCGs are adopting this worrying approach and respond accordingly.
