Congratulations to our Trustee, Christa Dyson

We are delighted to announce that this Wednesday (30 September) our fantastic Trustee Christa Dyson was  jointly awarded Outstanding Research Champion (patient) at the 2020 NIHR LCRN’s (Local Clinical Research Network) Thames Valley Research Awards.  This is great recognition for Christa’s dedication and the work that she has put in as a Research Champion.

Christa describes below what this work has involved:

“Much of my work (but not exclusively) has involved patient representation at the NSIC RIG (Research and Innovation Group) and as a patient representative sitting on the SAB (Scientific Advisory Board) for Stoke Mandeville Spinal Research. I have a further passion to encourage and promote research into pressure ulcer management and treatments. My focus as a Research Champion is to encourage more people to get involved in and be aware of research studies they can participate in, support clinicians and researchers as they design and develop clinical trials, and, spread the word of research studies undertaken so that the most benefit can be derived from them.”
