Deaths from coronavirus

The BBC recently wrote about the affects of the coronavirus on disabled people, highlighting that recent ONS figures showed that more than 22,000 disabled people died from coronavirus, from 2 March to 15 May, making up two-thirds of all deaths.

SIA views these statistics as truly shocking and fully supports the calls for a Covid-19 inquiry.   We owe it to everyone who sadly lost their life to this dreadful virus to identify what could have been done differently, and learn the lessons from this pandemic, so we can be better prepared for any second wave in the future.
