Support available for SCI people from NHS Volunteers

Hundreds of thousands of volunteers have joined the NHS Volunteer Responders programme and are available to support people in England who are at risk from Coronavirus. The help on offer ranges from support with grocery shopping and collecting prescriptions to ‘check in and chat’ phone calls.

To get this support, or if you are a carer and want to secure support for someone you care for, ring 0808 196 3646 (8am to 8pm) or visit the Royal Voluntary Service website for more information. Volunteer Responders is being delivered by Royal Voluntary Service, one of the UK’s largest and longest-standing volunteering charities.

As always, please remember that SIA continues to provide information, advocacy and support to everyone affected by SCI. Visit the Coronavirus section on our website or call our Support Line, Monday to Friday (9am – 5pm) on 0800 980 0501.
