Supporting family and friends

Here at Spinal Injuries Association, we’re keen to develop our relationship with the family and friends of those living with a spinal cord injury. We know that family and friends often want to understand how they can support a loved one who has an SCI – whether that’s practical issues such as accessibility, and getting the right care, emotional support so they don’t say the wrong thing or understanding the injury better and its effects.

Our thinking is at an early stage and we’re still developing our ideas. A leading London communications agency has offered their support and are keen to speak to family and friends, hear their experiences and understand what sort of support they’d welcome. They will then be working with us to develop ways we can increase our support to family and friends.

Are you willing to share your experiences and your ideas. If so, please get in touch. We’d love to hear from you and your insight could make all the difference.
