Before my injury I worked as a Project Engineer for the Oil and Gas Industry. I was also keenly involved in outdoor pursuits including hiking, and rock climbing as well as enjoying time spent with my wife and young daughter.
In February 2016, I sustained an incomplete high-level spinal cord injury following a road traffic accident.
Since then a significant portion of my time has been dedicated to making the absolute best of my recovery. I went to great lengths to go through the process of returning to work in the role I was performing pre injury. Although this was a very rewarding process, it left me feeling that I should be looking at a new direction and dedicating my working life to helping others and that is how I now find myself working for the SIA, delivering a service that was so instrumental to me during my own recovery.
I continue to be committed to my role as husband and father and we have expanded our family with the recent arrival of twin boys. I am committed to making the very best of my abilities and look forward to helping others to do the same.
