Community fundraising
Bring your community together and support people with SCI
Community fundraising is a fantastic chance to get together with those you work with, live near or share interests with to support our work and positively change the lives of people affected by spinal cord injury.
Fundraise for us
We’re constantly impressed by the unique ways our fundraising community raises essential funds for us. There are many ways to support us, whether you want to shave your head, plan a car boot sale or organise a coffee morning.
Our philosophy is “no idea is a bad idea”. Remember that fundraising should be fun, and not everyone’s idea of fun is the same, so be sure to do what you enjoy. Think about what you’re good at and use that as a starting point.
Take a look at some of our fundraising ideas . If you prefer more active challenges, visit our challenge and events page or check out what’s happening in your local area.
We’ve lots of resources to help kick off your fundraiser, including posters to advertise your events, information about spinal cord injury and fundraising guides. Click the buttons below for full details.

Fundraising story – Jacqui’s fundraisers:
Jacqui was injured at C4/5 (incomplete) after falling down the stairs in 2009. At the time she was a full time teacher, army wife and busy mum to two young children.
Each year as a family we try to help other families like us, whose worlds are turned upside down, and who will start their own fight to rebuild their lives as we did
Since then, Jacqui has done lots of fundraising for us, starting with walking the 96-mile Jurassic Coast from Exmouth to Dorset. She’s also organised a raffle through her Instagram profile that raised over £7,000.
She also uses her fundraising events to raise awareness about what life with a spinal cord injury, and why donations to SIA are so important.
