Our local community groups are a great way of connecting to other SCI people, their friends and families and they offer regular opportunities to socialise.

The Bradford/Airedale spinal cord injury community group usually meets on the second Tuesday of every month from 11.30am-1.30pm. For more information about this group please email your local support coordinator Joe Steele: [email protected]

Meet your host – Joe

Hello! My name is Joe, and I’m your regional support coordinator in Yorkshire. I sustained a T10 to L2 spinal cord injury after a biking accident whilst working in Aberdeen. The first few months of my recovery I had very little movement in my legs but have since regained the ability to walk using a stick, but I still use a wheelchair for longer distances.
