About this event
Our local community groups are a great way of connecting to other people with SCI, their friends and families and they offer regular opportunities to socialise.
Brighton/Hove spinal cord injury community group usually usually meets on the third Tuesday of every month, from 1-3pm at The Lodge, Rockwater, Hove. For more details contact SIA support coordinator Aleks: [email protected].

Meet your host – Aleks
Hello! My name is Aleks, and I’m your regional Support Coordinator in the South East of England.
At the end of 2011 I was diagnosed with a Spinal cord tumour located inside my Spinal cord at C3-C4, 3 weeks later in January 2012 I underwent surgery to remove the tumour, 18 months later I underwent 6 weeks of radiotherapy to stop the remaining tumour from growing. The surgery and radiotherapy left me with a C3-C5 incomplete Spinal Cord Injury. Over the years I have regained the ability to walk.
If you’ve recently become injured, already living with a spinal cord injury, or are close to someone who is, you’re in the right place. You can book a support session, book a call or find out more about the upcoming community groups by contacting your local support coordinator.
