About this event
Our local community groups are a great way of connecting to other people with SCI, their friends and families and they offer regular opportunities to socialise.
The Cardiff spinal cord injury community group meets first Monday of the month from 12pm-2pm. For more details contact your local support network coordinator Gaynor Thompson.
LOCATION UPDATE ** From 2 November this group will be moving to a brand new and exciting venue at UNBOUND Padel in Llantrisant.
This is a large fully accessible venue, with disabled parking, accessible toilets and an open space cafe, and who knows with their sports wheelchairs we might find a new and inclusive sport to try!
Meet your host – Gaynor
My name is Gaynor and I’m your regional support coordinator. I was diagnosed with Cauda Equina Syndrome in January 2021 and had to have emergency surgery after attending A&E. Three weeks before, I was diagnosed with sciatica over the phone.
