Join Team SIA for an unforgettable five-day adventure, combining camaraderie, culture, all for a great cause.
In 2026, this flagship event celebrates its twelfth year, with an inspiring cycling journey through the heart of France. Following the gentle flow of the Garonne River, we’ll travel north from Toulouse, finishing in the historic city of Bordeaux. The ride will cover approximately 300–350 km across three days of cycling.
6 – 10 May 2026 | Toulouse to Bordeaux (France)
Whether you’re a seasoned cyclist or taking on your first challenge, this event promises an extraordinary blend of adventure, friendship, and purpose. However, this is no leisurely ride, it’s a challenge that will test your endurance and determination as you cover significant distances each day. With the support of your fellow riders and a shared goal driving you forward.
The event is suitable for beginner to intermediate cyclists and is fully accessible for riders with a spinal cord injury. Support vehicles and experienced ride leaders will be in place throughout to ensure everyone can take part safely, confidently and enjoyably. While the ride is inclusive and well supported, participants should have a good level of fitness and be prepared to train in advance to get the most out of the experience.
We’ll be with you every step of the way to help you smash your fundraising goals, providing tips, tools, and encouragement to ensure your efforts make a meaningful impact.

Fundraising and trip costs
You can choose from two options to cover the trip costs while supporting SIA’s vital services, please see below. The cost of the trip to SIA is: £1400, that is why it is important you can commit to raising the minimum amount to ensure we fundraise and continue running this amazing event.
Option One – Part-Funded
- Pay a £200 booking fee upfront
- Fundraise to a target of £1,800
Option Two – Self-Funded
- Pay a £200 booking fee upfront
- Cover the full trip cost of £1,400 (payment can be made in instalments) Payments can be made in instalments, remaining balance due 12 weeks before the event.
- Fundraise to a target of £600
Both options help ensure SIA can cover the trip costs and raise the funds needed to continue providing life-changing support to our members and their loved ones for many more years to come.

Example Itinerary (Toulouse to Bordeaux)
- The ride will take place across three days, with travel days either side.
- Please note this is an example. We are still in the planning process, so details are subject to change.
TOTAL DISTANCE: 305km
This scenic route offers a perfect balance: mostly flat terrain that makes it accessible for riders of all abilities, including those with a spinal cord injury, yet still covering a rewarding daily distance. Expect stunning riverside views, charming towns, and a sense of achievement as we pedal together towards one of France’s most celebrated destinations.
Day 1: Travel from the UK to Toulouse
- Hotel in Toulouse
- Team briefing and evening meal
Day 2: Toulouse to Agen
- Distance: 110 km | Elevation: 100 m (easy day)
- Suggested stops for lunch/breaks: Montech, Castelsarrasin, Valence
Day 3: Agen to Langon
- Distance: 95 km | Elevation: 130 m (easy day)
- Suggested stops for lunch/breaks: Various small towns; possible detour via Marmande
Day 4: Langon to Bordeaux
- Distance: 100 km | Elevation: ~300 m (medium day)
- Highlights: Detour into the Landes de Gascogne Regional Natural Park before rejoining the river further north to enjoy the scenic route into Bordeaux
- Suggested stops for lunch/breaks: Villandraut, Landiras, Langoiran
Day 5: Travel home from Bordeaux to the UK

- Bike transport from the UK to the start, and from the finish back to the UK

Important booking information
- Third night stay – The third night accommodation is currently listed as TBC in the itinerary. Unfortunately, we were let down by the hotel at a late stage, but we’re actively working on a solution and will confirm details as soon as possible. For now, the itinerary will remain marked as TBC.
- Single room requests – Single rooms are an additional £189pp for the trip. Please note: we have a very limited amount available, requests are subject to availability. Please book a male twin share or female twin share initially – later in the booking process, you’ll be able to request a single room. We’ll do our best to accommodate requests, but availability is extremely limited
- Twin share information – Twin share riders will be paired with another rider of the same sex. If you have a specific rider you’d like to share with, please state this on the booking form
- Couples booking together – When selecting 2 guests and 1 room, the option of a twin room will be offered and doubles can be requested.
