About this event
The Rebuilding Lives Conference brings together the spinal cord injury (SCI) community, giving people the chance to learn more about the impact of SCI and exploring how the sector can work together to achieve improved outcomes for life after injury.
Thursday 1 and Friday 2 October 2026 – Stadium MK, Milton Keynes, MK1 1ST
Theme: Breaking Barriers, Building Futures Together
This annual conference is hosted by Spinal Injuries Association, offering a platform for education, inspiration, action and collaboration. Convening the sector, it brings together healthcare professionals, carers, researchers, and partners, as well as people with their own experiences of living with spinal cord injury.
What unfolds is proof that we are always stronger when we come together – two days of powerful storytelling, continued collaboration and networking, and action for change to ensure all people with spinal cord injury can lead fulfilled lives.
An education stream is being introduced to this year’s Rebuilding Lives Conference, an exciting new addition designed to enhance the delegate experience and deepen learning opportunities. Alongside the mainstage programme, delegates will now have the option to attend a series of smaller, alternative breakout sessions. These sessions are educational in focus and have been carefully curated to provide in-depth learning across key areas, including speech and language therapy, skin management, bowel management and Autonomic Dysreflexia.
This year, for the first time, we have applied for CPD accreditation for the whole conference so delegates can earn professional development credits.
