About this event
Our local community groups are a great way of connecting to other people with SCI, their friends and families and they offer regular opportunities to socialise.
The Southampton spinal cord injury community group usually meets on the last Wednesday of every month, between 12pm-2pm at the Haskins Garden Centre. For more details contact your local support network coordinator Aleks: [email protected].

Hello! My name is Aleks, and I’m your regional Support Coordinator in the South East of England.
At the end of 2011 I was diagnosed with a Spinal cord tumour located inside my Spinal cord at C3-C4, 3 weeks later in January 2012 I underwent surgery to remove the tumour, 18 months later I underwent 6 weeks of radiotherapy to stop the remaining tumour from growing. The surgery and radiotherapy left me with a C3-C5 incomplete Spinal Cord Injury. Over the years I have regained the ability to walk.
